This was my first time photographing at Kelley’s Canyon Orchard in Filer, but I honestly cannot wait to go back. Plus, this family was just too precious for words, and it was also my first time doing a session with a furbaby. If you’ve never been to Kelley’s, definitely make the trip to this wonderful family owned orchard!

I spent the majority of this session laughing, and it’s honestly the only way I ever want to spend a session! Crystal and her family were amazing to work with; extremely patient and a ton of fun. Beyond all that, the weather was perfect after a few cool and windy days.

What an adorable session this was! Their daughter took a few minutes to warm up, but once she did she was the life of the photography party. She wanted to interact with the camera, and smiled so, so much. There was so much love being shared with these three, and I was so thankful to be able to capture it.

One of my favorite parts of this photography journey has been all the firsts I’ve encountered, including this senior session of a beautiful cheerleader at her homecoming game! When I was contacted by Autumn to do her senior portraits, I was very excited to get some in the moment cheer photographs to really capture what it meant to her during her high school experience. Currently in the works is a second, more traditional senior portrait session, but I’m sure we’ll find a way to make that one just as special as this one.

A last minute message from the sweetest mom meant the opportunity to photograph this adorable newborn boy! Much like Sofia from a previous session, this little man wasn’t quite sure what to make of the funny lady holding a camera, but he was a great model and was totally patient. Or, as patient as newborns can be! Plus, I love working with crafty moms who make great props, and the sign this mom had made to announce her son’s birth was pretty great.

This family was so much fun to photograph, and both daughters were so engaged with helping me find the perfect spots for the best pictures. Beyond their enthusiastic nature, this family had so much love for each other, and these pictures don’t quite do it justice. I truly hope that they ask me to come back and do more sessions for them in the future.

When smoke threatened to delay this session more than it already had, the photography God’s looked down upon us and said: “You can do this session.” The wildfire smoke was bad in the Magic Valley, and much of the West, but it cleared for a day to allow this adorable family the opportunity for a well deserved maternity session. Jacqueline is expecting her fourth boy at the end of September or beginning of October.
These photos were taken at Shoshone Falls, and it was my first time having the chance to photograph at this location!
